Gigjam48 - Corona Game Jam

We’ve got some special codes to buy a few of the prizes ( still trying to get more ) during the competition at discount prices, these are only for entrants

My friend is up for partnering with me, so i’ll be signing up shortly :D

Awesome!

Just a friendly reminder that GIGJam is happening in a few weeks so please don’t forget to sign up

Final submissions is the source code for the project correct?

Yes it is, the only other way would be to make builds for the judges devices and we figure that might make things more complicated.

Just a quick reminded to anyone that hasn’t signed up for this that there is a week to go, just one little week then the chaos will begin.

Unfortunately i can no longer make it :(

You will have to do these more often, i would definitely like to give it a try!

Hope it all goes well.

That is a shame  :(

Assuming the jam is successful we will most definitely be doing them again

Also, a reminder for everyone else interested in taking part; there is only a few days left till kickoff now so please don’t forget to signup - https://sellfy.com/p/sw0d/

We’ve just created some events to make things simpler regarding timezones etc, there is a Facebook one here - https://www.facebook.com/events/451723004911210/ - as well as a Google one in our public calendar here - http://shar.ee/6g7thi

For anyone that hasn’t registered yet but is thinking about doing so, signups will close at 6pm on Friday the 3rd of May GMT, i.e tomorrow  :o

You can sign up here - http://www.glitchgames.co.uk/gigjam/

Do we have a number on how many people have signed up so far? I’m interested to see how many people are in it. I’m excited, should be fun.

The exact number will be announced sometime after signups close in a couple of hours  Out of curiosity, what do you feel would be a nice number?

My competitive side says as few as possible…but my community side says I would love to see 100+. I think it’s great publicity for not only Corona but also Glitch Games. The more people we can get spreading the word about the sdk the better it will get I think. I’ve personally told a few buddies about the gigjam and they were bummed that they didn’t have the knowledge of corona, but they all downloaded it and have been playing around with it.

Haha yea, 100 would certainly be nice. We’re really happy with the turnout ourselves  Hopefully we will be able to make this a regular thing on the Corona calendar.

The more people using Corona the better yes!

Just so everyone is aware, this is the current UK time that the Jam will be based off - http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_GB.aspx
