How long have you been using Corona?

I just realised today that I’ve been using Corona for just under 5 years and I’m curious how long everyone else has been using it?

I’m pretty sure I started around November / December 2010, this date might not be exactly correct but I remember that Corona was still in Beta back then and it was a little before the “Game Edition” was released, which brought in things like Physics and SpriteSheets if I remember correctly?

We start using Corona on February 2011

September 2011, so four years. So glad I was bored one evening and stumbled across it, because Corona has changed my life. I hadn’t coded since I was 14, and thought I’d missed the boat in terms of making a career out of it.

Since then we’ve bought a house we could never have afforded before, I cut my day-job down to three days a week and I’m close to fulfilling a life goal to write a football management game.

Cheers, Corona Labs / Ansca!

I started on January 1, 2012.

I just released (today) my 7th app.

I’ve been developing on Corona for over 2 years now.

Since about January 2012.

Yay Corona!

Somewhere around spring 2012 for me - that’s the oldest Lua file I wrote that I can find on my computer. It has horrific indentation and formatting in it 'cause my first editor was TextEdit

Since May 8, 2011. 4 years already.

Purchased my first Corona license Feb 18 2011 (so 4+ years ago), and started tinkering with the free tier a month or two before that. Published my first Corona-made app in April 2011. Dang! That’s a lifetime ago.

5 th of january 2011. came across corona googling for box2d. I still have my first attempt at doing a game. 2 k lines of code written in main.lua with crash bugs and leaks all over the place. It’s been a pleasure to work with corona and see it evolve.

Wow, Jan 18, 2011 for me. Has it been that long?

I’ve been developing in Lua since 2004 and in 2013 a friend told me about Corona. It was love at first sight. It’s nice to be here. Thank you guys!
