Is the native.newMapView() surfice?
If not, you can try to put in a static-google-maps image. Read more here.
When compiling on android, I get an error that the plugin was not found, although Solar 2d does not complain. What could be the problem?

Hi Scott with Solar2d marketplace did you active the plugin on your account?
I’m also trying to make it work, I activated the plugin through the marketplace on trial, included the key in the build.settings and whenever I try to build it for android it throws “Error: configuring plugin.mapbox failed”
I figured maybe it only works while built for Corona Native, but I struggled a lot with it and eventually gave up. Can’t seem to find any more info on this.
Which version of solar 2d are you running?
