New App Released Thanks to all at Solar2D Again

Just a quick thank you again to all at SOLAR2D again. I have just released my first app hooked up to OpenAI using Solar2d. A bit of fun … makes me laugh on what it produces. Onwards and Upwards … here is the link … can’t remember where Solar2D games are supposed to be stored. but thanks again to all involved. SOLAR2D definitely makes development fun …

Does anyone know, if there is a tutorial on releasing games to Google App Store using SOLAR2D ?

Congratulations! Not sure if @Glitch_Games still maintains the website but here is the showcase website where you can submit your game. → https://www.madewithsolar2d.com/

About releasing the game on Google Play: I don’t think it’s something you can’t handle. Mostly same as the App Store. Following these 3 pages from the documentation should get most of it done:

Project Build Settings - Solar2D Documentation — Developer Guides | Building/Distribution
Signing and Building — Android - Solar2D Documentation — Developer Guides | Building/Distribution
Android Adaptive Icons - Solar2D Documentation — Developer Guides | Building/Distribution
Google IAP - Solar2D Documentation — Plugins | google-iap-billing-v2

I’ve also asked something about releasing a game on Google Play some time ago. Here is the related topic: Releasing a game on Google Play Store

Thank you so much for all the very useful information, I will definitely look into it, I might have to get myself a cheap android phone to test on as well although I know nothing about Android at all … I think they are Linux based but not sure. I use the IAP badger for in app purchase stuff so hopefully that will make that a bit easier. No idea what adaptive icons are !! will enjoy learning

I will probably but a secondhand phone. Is there a thing like App Store Connect for Google ? I will take a look … Thanks again for taking the time very helpful …

Yes, Google has its own developer console. You can find a direct link if you search for it. They also have their own requirements. The console shall guide you through.

@bgmadclown has already given you links to help with the process of uploading your game to the Play Store, but if you have any specific questions, feel free to message me, and I’ll be happy to assist you. We’re here to help each other.

Thats very kind of you… I will need lots of help. Just trying to identify a cheap appropriate android phone first but will be in touch. many thanks for reaching out.
