Not seeing any ads for Corona Ads

Hi,

I thought I would test out Corona Ads. I downloaded the sample from GitHub and changed the API key to the one shown on my dashboard… When I run the app on my device (Samsung S7) I get the following output;

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “top-banner-320x50” placement requested

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “top-banner-320x50” placement not found

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “bottom-banner-320x50” placement requested

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “bottom-banner-320x50” placement not found

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “interstitial-1” placement requested

SM-G930F: Corona Ads event: ad for “interstitial-1” placement not found

I didnt set up the Play Store URL field as I was only testing at this stage…

Any reason why this is happening? Or is Corona Ads still too early to test out?

No, it’s not too early to test out. Can you post your code where you’re trying to show the ads. I want to see the actual code where the placement ID’s are set.

Also do you have those placement ID’s set up in your Dashboard?

I have an answer. Currently setting up Corona Ads still has some manual setup components on our side. In other words when you create a placement, it could take our team a few hours to get it setup and for it to propagate through the system. The ads team would like you to try again and see if you’re getting them now since you’re fully configured.

HI Rob,

It seems to have improved, but not perfect. The two banner ads seem to appear OK, when tapping on the buttons, but after I press the interstitial ad button nothing loads. Output is below. I’ve never used ads before (of any type), is this what I should expect? I took a video of the app too if this helps. I have uploaded the code, although it is just the example code.

I saw that you got a response from the Corona Ads help desk last night. For others finding this post: it can take time for the fill rate to ramp up.
