Notification Callback not firing when app is in background mode (Android)

Hello,

I was able to add & test push notifications using the OneSignal’s official guide.Push notifications are working fine( call back is being fired) when the app is closed/open.

However when app is in background and when I click the notification ,call back is not fired. It takes me to the default screen.

Please help.

Hello,

The callback should still be fired when you tap on the notification. What OS (Android or iOS) are you seeing this issue on? Also how are you putting the app in the background? Are you pressing the home button or pressing the back button?

OS is Android. I am pressing the home button to put that app in background.

We just identified an issue where if the app was backed out of with the back button the callback will stop firing until the app is closed completely. A fix will be included in our next update which will be released at the end of this week or the beginning of next.

Hello,

Since today i can’t make onesignal works. Notifications are working fine only in app, but not when app runs in background or is closed. Did i miss something ?

Edit : problem occurs on Android, iOs seems to be ok.

We just pushed out a 1.9.1 update that fixes the issue you are seeing with 1.9.0. You should see the new version in the next Enterprise update or if your building with the Simulator in the next few hours.
