I know there is a community made plug-in for Firebase, but it’s extremely limited. I was wondering if there is a chance that there will be a Firebase official plug-in anytime soon.
This a complex question with a less than helpful answer. Google is moving more and more services to Firebase. At some point they will turn off their older services. Firebase is massive. It’s also difficult to add in to our existing platform. So are you going to see a complete Firebase plugin from us in the next few months? No. Will the community build plugins to support the features they can with in technical limits? Probably. Will we integrate parts of Firebase? Maybe depending on Google’s deprecation schedule.
