Thanks Carlos for the video! What about textbox? I’m working on a couple of medial applications and will require a fair amount of input from the user.

I’m really excited to get ahold of the new ui stuff!!! Stop sleeping and get to work jk I’m really appreciative of what you guys are doing. I’m a Java developer so writing apps for the droid would be pretty straight forward. But I need them to run on both platforms and learning Object C doesn’t look like fun. The videos am putting together for you are based on a not even alpha code. Once you get your hands on it, you can start asking all sorts of questions. In the meantime, rest assure that you will get your hands on it as soon as we can call it beta, and once is in beta, you can provide all the feedback in the world. It is then up to me to listen to your punk rants.

Hi Jonathan,

to my knowledge, the texbox is just for display, not for input. I can’t see a reference to attach a keyboard handler for it.

When you have the simulator open, choose build and then instead of choosing Device, choose Xcode Simulator. Also, you must have Xcode installed on your machine.

Also, will the new CoronaUI contain textfields and textboxes? The existing native ui versions of these don’t work in the Corona Simulator. I know it works in xcode simulator, but that takes more time for testing. Also, the native ui version doesn’t work properly with groups.
