Openssl plugin repeatedly crashes the Windows simulator

Whenever I require the openssl plugin from Windows simulator, the simulator crashes.

This happens generally the second time the app is opened in the simultor.

This is the error report in Windows

BUMP!

Anyone?

Bumping again!!

This error is really starting to annoy me.
I have to turn off openssl everytime I have to use the simulator.

The OpenSSL plugin is for Pro subscribers only, but it shouldn’t be crashing.  In googling this error, it shows up a lot, but there isn’t much in the way of where it’s coming from.  It appears that some monitoring software, perhaps McCafee isn’t happy about something.  There were reports of this from FIFA 11 to Internet Explorer to Oracle with no good answers.  Do you by any chance have some spyware/malware monitoring software running?

Rob

I got this error in my company’s PRO account only.

I do have ESET antivirus installed… Will try disabling ESET and running the app…

Nope… Antivirus or Firewall is not the problem here…

I disabled Windows firewall, and the Eset Smart Security…
Still same problem.

Which build of the simulator are you using?

Which version of Windows are you using (WinXP, Win7, Win8)?

Can you provide a sample project?

thanks,

Albert

I am using build 1260 in Windows XP.
But this error used to occur when I was using the previous Public release(1202, right?).

The problem is I am unable to replicate the error in a sample project.
Something in my existing code does not go well with the openssl plugin, but I’m not sure what. I was hoping you guys would be able to figure it out from the crash log.

Anyway, I will try to pinpoint the issue from my current project and let you know how it goes.

I seem to be getting problems with this. I have added one item to an exisiting project and that is the openSSL plugin. Now if I go to a previous project and back again, it goes blank and I have to restart Corona. It also does this when some code changes. The open SSL plugin just updated itself this minute too
