Fortumo has regular IAP services for Nook. it’s not text message based.
For NOOK, you create a special service which will initiate a credit card payment on NOOK devices.
Users create an account (only once, email & password), add a credit card to this account and when clicking “Accept & Buy” they have to confirm the payment by entering their password.
On tablets without a sim card, so called widget-fallback will happen.
A website is loaded where you are asked to enter your phone number, then you receive instructions to send a keyword to a certain number. After sending this message, users have to wait a few seconds until their payment was accepted, then the website will stop loading/waiting, return to your app, and the MESSAGE_STATUS_BILLED broadcast is sent.
Great, so Fortumo can be used on all Android devices.
