Plugin dev: How to update a Corona Plugin?

Hi.

Just submitted my first plugin and got access to the Corona Store plugin repo. After final testing (already using the plugin from the Corona server) I noticed that I needed to update the stub files.

I updated them and pushed the changes to the Plugin repo that was shared with me by Corona.

I note that my commit on the repo appears as “Draft” and that after pushing the changes, the plugin being loaded by the Simulator is still the older one.

Should I contact anyone at Corona to have the plugin updated (with the code from the repo) or is it a process that Corona does automatically (maybe every 24hours)?

Thanks,

UPDATE: Just saw your email Rob asking me to update the repo and that it would take ~1 hour after that for the updated plugin to be live. Thanks.

Hi Billy. Normally you would just respond to the email that’s the support ticket to manage these items. It does look like you successfully updated your repository. That way we keep all of the communications in one place.

Hi Rob,

my question would be more in general. Let’s say that I update the plugin next month, should I contact Corona in anyway (e-mail, replying to the open support ticket,…) or my plugin will be updated automatically based on the repo (so, no need to contact Corona about the update)?

Thanks.

The plugin will update automatically when you push the changes to the repo. We generally don’t retest/re-approve community built plugins since you support them. No need to let us know.
