Text Candy, Particle Candy, Widget Candy

Anyone using them can confirm they work on W8?

Thank you!

Particle Candy yes.

Thank you for the confirmation.

You don’t use the other two ?

Only particle candy, and actually phasing that at for the built in particles

You mean Particle Designer 2.0 ?

Care to explain why replace Particle Candy?

Thank you.

Particle Designer is the software used to create “visually” the effects, you don’t need it if you know what you are tweaking inside of the json file that you pass to newEmitter.

http://docs.coronalabs.com/api/library/display/newEmitter.html

I love particle candy but one less file to load up that’s all, nothing negative about Particle Candy it is simple and powerful but using newEmitter works better for me as I use json local and remote for things so it just kind of flows better with my stuff.

If they made Particle Designer for windows I would be A LOT happier

I use all three of them and can confirm that they are working.

Anyone found an alternative to native fields.text boxes, etc? Particle candy seems to work fine for fields, but not sure how to handle input for multiline text…

So TextCandy works for single line? I guess you didn’t mean Particle Candy for text?..

Widget Candy

Hi I have been reading that the makers of Widget Candy are unresponsive and out of business… Is it safe to buy it and use it with Corona Cards for iOS/Android/WP8 ?

Thanks

Sanjit
