Here’s mine;
(I don’t have a fancy panoramic camera so I’ve had to spread this across three pics. Left, middle, right.)

I just do my work in the living room in front of the TV on a shitty 13" MacBook Pro. My work hours are from around 9pm (kids finally sleeping) until well into the night. My test devices are my iPhone 4 or if I can wrestle my wife’s iPad from her. All of my QA and regression testing occurs upstairs in one of my kid’s bedrooms (they do some playtesting for me). I’d post pics but there are toys everywhere at the moment lol. There’s your sneak peek into the life of an indie daddy I enjoy every minute of it though. My dream would be to quit my day job and do this full time! [import]uid: 31262 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93031[/import]
How do you embed images? I tried using < img> *myURLhere* < /img> (without the space), but it doesn’t work? [import]uid: 51654 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93034[/import]
@003naveen use < i m g src=“url” / > (without the space between img) [import]uid: 82699 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93036[/import]
I’m jealous… You have lots of goodies.
My work area consists of a large brown leather recliner, with either a MacBook pro or a Cheap Win7 laptop in my lap (since we are talking Corona, it would be the MBP. The Win7 laptop is where I do all my photo work. I realize that’s stupid, but it is what it is…) To my right is a clear glass table holding a lamp, and 4 external hard drives and an external DVD burner. Sitting in front of that is a foldable tray-table with my cup of water, iPhone and remote control (and associated junk, cables, etc.)
On the floor between the tables and my chair is an overloaded power strip feeding power to my wife’s Dell laptop and another dell laptop running Ubuntu leaning up against my tray table.
To the left of my chair is the exit from the family room, my backpack (where the two main laptops live when not in use).
Oh and your area is too neat… And there is no “Programmer Chow ™” er. Nilla Wafers!

This is in a tiny tiny college dorm room. No fancy equipment, but my laptop is very powerful. I use my iPhone 4 as a test device, and I’m waiting for the new iPad to deliver!

Here’s my clean desk:
And my messy desk (I’ve got the same Yoshi toy as you Peach ;)):

@aaaron: I can relate.
@Peach, @Naveen: What a setup! Thanks for sharing–it inspired me to work harder so that I can “upgrade” to something similar.
@robmiracle: I think I could also use one of those leather recliners. Hmmm…
@sairafi505: I think mine’s even smaller!
Would like to share mine. I was booted to a “corner office” when my li’l one came out so, yeah, its not much of a space compared to you guys but it works for me…for now.

Here we go. A photo I took for some challenge thingy or other…

Some very cool stuff!
I think
@Naveen - your setup looks great. I’d love to get multiple monitors going but with how much a decent one costs any time I am in a situation where I’m seriously considering it I tend to lean more towards a whole new machine >.
@Rob - My desk was messy before that picture, I cleaned it up and then thought I’d photograph it. I don’t keep food about so much but I do have gum and tictacs - and prior to cleaning I had a large mountain of papers.
I notice that everyone who has posted a picture has a cleaner surrounding area than me, though - right by my desk is a bunch of boxes from different bits and pieces that I haven’t thrown out because I have no idea where I should put the manuals, etc. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93212[/import]
@egarayblas I got a pair of them for $25 at a yard/moving sale.

PS - Yoshi! [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93451[/import]
Here is mine, basic but gets the job done
Here is mine a indie work area;)

@Naveen nice set up! very clean unlike mine. =P Had to clean it before the pic was taken.
@Peach I have a white board also but it’s on the opposite side of the room and didn’t think it was worthy of being in my pic.
I tried to squeeze everything into one photo instead of multiple pics, but I’m sure you guys can see everything.
[import]uid: 54776 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93589[/import]
Hahaha…I do not think you guys/gals are INDIE Devs!
All of you are more for PRO Devs and their powerfull machines/offices by these all photos above. (LOL)
Cheers,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93592[/import]
@rpetrov, that looks great! I wish I could have gotten all mine into one pic but the room is small and I couldn’t back up enough to fit it all into the shot. Very fancy!
@Rodrigo, haha, there are a lot of nice setups, aren’t there? [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93674[/import]
@Peach, yes, I have here only my MacBook Pro on the living room wood table with my iPhone beside. Ahh, and my HD of Timemachine backups. Just it!
PS: By the way, am used to be moving all the time and so I cannot build something “nice” and sooner be moving again and have to “unbuild” all and worst - trying to get all with you (and all the times, it`s impossible and so we have to let something). As you know, am Brazilian and look, am living in Argentina now (without mention that 4 years ago I was there in Brisbane/Australia, after 1 year and something there I went to France and stayed there around 6 months, after that cameback to Brazil, traveled a lot inside and now in Argentina I am).
I am happy with my Macbook only. It`s easy to bring with me and having CoronaSDK inside it, wow, what else do I need huh?!
Cheers,
Rodrigo. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93690[/import]
When you travel that makes perfect sense
I used just a Macbook for years, I agree it is all you need and much more portable than a setup like some of these. (My iMac is 27" and I struggle to move it. It weighs a LOT!) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 23235 reply_id: 93701[/import]
@Peach: Yes, that`s true! And so I do have the extremely necessary only (of course because of $$$ too)!
