Hi,
We currently have direct implementation of few ad networks as plug-ins.
Is Corona Ads a simple mediation layer that incorporates those plug-ins as providers or do you make direct deals or integrate some other DSPs to this platform?

CoronaAds has mediation-like features in that we are using multiple sources of ads to get an high eCPM and a good fill rate, but it’s not mediation in the sense of other mediation providers like Appodeal work. CoronaAds needs to be considered like any other plugin as a source of ads and not as a mediation service since we integrate other providers into the platform.

OK, thanks. In that case, what is the benefit over directly implementing these and other providers? Does it offer better eCPM?
Whenever there is another player in the chain that is called mobile/web advertising, the revenue to the end publisher is reduced. It is our interest to minimize the amount on middleman pieces in the chain so that our rev share compared to the original advertiser offer is maximized. All the current plug-ins usually involve at least one or two such middleman. If I understand correctly and you do not attempt to get direct deals from advertisers, than you will not be able to offer better deals compared to the current alternatives.
I really do not know what deals we have in place. At the end of the day, your eCPM and Fill rates should determine your choice of providers. We’ve made quite a few options available including most top-tier choices.
One benefit that makes Corona Ads stand out from the crowd is it’s ease of implementation. Your dashboard is based on your Corona Labs login. You access the dashboard from the Corona Developer portal. Of course there will be additional information for paying you that needs added, but creating apps and placements is easy. We provide you the code needed to add to your app as part of the setup process, copy-paste, change keys and placement IDs.
