WHERE DID Corona Paper GO? I paid for a year..

Probably not the greatest idea to post people’s e-mail addresses without their prior consent???

I know but there is no secrets inside this conversation. We and Joomag have done what we could in this matter but we could have done it sooner and better and I regret this and I have said that I am sorry. I lost more than 60.000 US dollars in this project so I am also really dissapointed that we had to cancel it and let the employees go from the paper to other projects.

If I could I would love to restart the magazine again but I currently don’t have the budget for that.

Best regards

Andreas Kviby

Hi guys,

With respect to people’s personal information i hid akviby’s post. For the people following the thread, this is his comment:

Hey there

I do not know what you mean by lots of people have
contacted me directly and that Joomag have contacted me a lot. Joomag
sent me an email the 11th of july and I responded directly and asked
them to send me all subscribers emailaddresses so I could refund them
all with 100%. I have been waiting since then for an answer and I got
one 31st of july with only two addresses they thought should be
refunded. I haven’t been able to refund sooner, I am truly sorry about
this. I could have posted information like I did some days ago already
in late june and I didn’t and I am sorry about that but we run a lot of
projects and this was not my prio 1 that period of time.

I am not the type of guy trying to save face in front of a community,
that is not my kind of style. You can believe what ever you want but I
stick with the truth.

You can see the mail conversation yourself and hopefully stop racking down on me from today on.

Best regards Andreas Kviby

Oh wow! You can not imagine how I feel right now! I got the refund yesterday, so what?? This is normal and everyone who subscribed should be aware of their customer rights! There is no excuse for this late reply and I can not believe how you are able to reveal this sensitive data to the PUBLIC!

I have reported this post and thread. You should remove your post immediately. This is far away from professional business.

Thank you alexf!

I also got a refund after contacting Andreas, so noi complaints from me

@CineTek, don’t you think you are a little over the top here? I mean come one.

Just tell me some of your friends never hit respond all or forwarded an email with a bazillion peoples emails on it.

Cant we say some mistakes happen sometimes and then say hey man can you get that stuff removed?

Just my 2 cents

Got my refund too, no complaints here either.

I spoke to Joomag again, and they are sending me a refund.  David from Joomag has promised to email all subscribers with information about getting a refund.

10Fingers AB (guys who did Corona Paper) have yet to respond and have gone completely dark. I suspect they didn’t get the subscribers they were looking for and felt it wasn’t worth doing, but really bad business to just not respond to people and bail.

Thank you for sharing this information and your effort in helping us all out.

cspence, thanks for looking into that.  I wasn’t getting any sort of response from Joomag either so I’m glad that I’ll now be getting a refund.

I’d be surprised if they actually do come through and send that email to everyone, much less give out refunds.  Will see, but I wanted to post it here so everyone is made aware of it.

Look like these clowns have plenty of time to release a new app and get Corona to promote it, but no time to handle their commitment to customers who paid for a year of  their magazine much less respond to emails.

It’s a free app if you wanted to download it and leave a review.

10FingersAB have lost my respect completely… I won´t give them a bad rating because of this situation but I hope that they´ve learnt something… Event though I don´t think they did…otherwise they would have postet a statement…

Hello everyone, Richard Harris here - editor for App Developer Magazine (and CEO of Moonbeam Development “Corona Ambassadors”.

Sorry to see Corona Paper go, they had some really nice content and was no-doubt an invaluable resources to the Corona community. I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

On a side note but still relevant to the topic, I’ve got approval to offer everyone here a free (yes, 100% free) subscription to our publication, we are now in our 5th issue.

We cover the entire mobile app developer industry but we always try to get Corona awesomeness in as many issues as possible too, so we’d love to have you as a subscriber - http://appdevelopermagazine.com/complimentary

Nice, I just signed up. Looking forward to it…

Wow, that sounds great! Thanks a lot

How many episodes does this free subscription cover?

Hi guys,

It covers all issues past, and all issues to come

That is website / digital - including PDF download of each issue.

The mobile app will cost you $1.99 / mo for viewing through the app if you choose. If offers a more interactive experience, and all issues in “one place”…

Richard

still haven’t received an email from joomag yet though. might have to chase them up

My gut feeling is they won’t send it, but they promised they would.

I’ve been working with them for 2 months to get a refund and it still hasn’t happened.  They kept promising to do it.

They said I should have it in 7 days (that was like 3 days ago) so will see.  That’s when they said they will send email out to all the yearly subscribers for a refund.

I wouldn’t hold your breath though.
